The Government advances in an extraordinary regularisation of foreign people: what is confirmed and what still is for coming
In the last weeks has arisen a lot of interest by the ad of the Government of Spain on a process of extraordinary regularisation headed to foreign people that already reside in the country in irregular situation. What knows of official form on requirements and terms?
According to the official communiqués of the Government and of the Ministry:
- The regularisation would be headed to foreign people that found in Spain before 31 December 2025 and that accredit a permanence continued of at least five months in the moment of the application.
- It would require lack penal antecedents and not supposing a threat for the public order.
- Also they could receive applicants of international protection (asylum) that fulfil the conditions.
- It foresees that the applications can initiate at the beginning of April of 2026 and that the term was opened until 30 June 2026.
- The initial permission would be of temporary residence by exceptional circumstances, with force of a year (postponable),and would enable to reside and work by extraneous or own account in all the Spanish territory. In cases of families with minors, could extend to five years.
